Motorola, Inc. is slammed with a $5 million class-action lawsuit over alleged poor customer service, warranty support and unfair business practices. Main plaintiff Douglas Lynch hit the major telecommunications company with allegations towards violations of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and the Fair Business Practices Act among others.

California lawmakers voted down a resolution calling for the declaration of May 29 as John Wayne Day after opponents criticized the legendary actor of racism. The resolution was introduced by Republican State Assemblyman Matthew Harper of Huntington Beach.
