DJ Zedd Reveals Kesha has "Permission" to Release New Song After Case with Dr. Luke

By

Kesha and world-renowned DJ Zedd were granted permission to release some new music, as per the DJ himself. Following a result to the long-running case, Kesha was still given the opportunity to work around the exclusivity under Dr. Luke, defended by DJ Zedd, one of Kesha's good friends.

As per Irish Mirror, the records were set straight by Zedd in terms of legality, who is now officially teaming up with the musician for a new track, with the full consent of the producing company. In a tweet, it said that Zedd and Kesha will be releasing the track True Colors April 29th, followed by the caption 'Music can be freedom'.

Additionally, according to Daily Mail, Zedd added and was quoted, "Just to clarify: We didn't use any loopholes. Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release." It was then responded to by Dr. Luke, the producer behind Kemosabe Records, thanking Zedd for the further clarification of the matter.

It was noted by Mirror that the said exchange precedes the legal battle that went on until recently. Dr. Luke was charged of allegedly drugging Kesha and forcibly engaging in sexual harassment during their working relationship. Throughout the course of the case, Dr. Luke was always eager to deny all the allegations thrown at him.

Kesha can be remembered to have broken down in tears after the reveal that she lost the case back in February, attempting to free herself from the record label contract under Dr. Luke. The 29-year-old artist claimed that she is now afraid to pursue working with the said producer, Lukasz Gottwald.

Earlier in the month, Kesha surprised many of her fans as she appeared alongside DJ Zedd at Coachella. Kesha also talked about the beauty of 'finding' her voice again' with the help of Zedd, as he voluntarily reached out to the already suffering artist. Many of Kesha's fans, including friends in the music industry, have also spoken out about their sentiments and support to the superstar along the way.
