Several gold mining companies in South Africa have been sued by former and present miners who contacted lung diseases during their occupational operations. The class action suit was backed up by a South African court allowing former employees to file lawsuit against their former employers to seek payment for the damages.
India's Supreme Court ordered SpiceJet to pay Jeeja Ghosh, disabled passenger, a total of Rs 1 million over disability rights. She was offloaded from the airplane by the said airline when her cerebral palsy attacked. She claimed she was not given any medical attention but instead removed her from the flight.
