Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, wants bigger share of pop icon's estate

Pop icon Prince has left behind millions of dollars worth of estate after his death. Tyka Nelson walked out of a meeting after she disliked the idea of sharing Prince's money equally among her half siblings.

According to Aces Showbiz, after hours of discussions, Alfred, Prince's half-brother reportedly said he wasn't happy because he was excluded from the singer's memorial service which was planned by Tyka. On the other hand, Tyka didn't like the idea of splitting the money equally. Apparently, she hopes to get a bigger portion of the money as she is the only full-blood sister of Prince.

According to WAOW, laws in Minnesota says that since Prince died without a will or a trust, his estate would be divided between his sisters and all of his half-siblings who are considered as a full sibling according to the law of the state. Reports say that the fortune of Prince will be divided to his sister Tyka and his half-siblings John, Sharon, Norrine, Alfred, and Omar.

A probate hearing will be scheduled in the future. A Minnesota judge, however, appointed the bank to safeguard the estate. The Bremer Trust will now act as a special administrator to handle the singer's estate which amounts to millions of dollars. The judge only appointed the trust administrator for a time of six months until a personal representative will take its place, as per Mirror.

Rumors said the pop icon has been preparing to die. The Purple Rain Star was said to be diagnosed with AIDS six months ago after acquiring the virus in the 90's. Doctors found out that Prince's blood count was very low and his body temperature had dropped significantly. The pop icon was also iron deficient, very weak and often disoriented.

The music icon, who has hits like Purple Rain and When Doves Cry, died at the age of 57. He was found lifeless at his suburban home in Minneapolis.
