Complainant Robert Bou-Simon said in his witness statement filed at a UK employment tribunal that he received abuse from his colleagues and managers at his former company BGC Partners Inc, Bloomberg reported.
Bloomberg reported that a second former employee of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc had sued the bank in a lawsuit filed at a London employment tribunal over unfair dismissal and racial discrimination claims.
Braziliam regulator Cade ruled yesterday that six companies, included Holcim Ltd, would have to pay fines totaling $1.4 billion for participating in a cartel that aimed to fix prices and divvy up clients in the client market, Bloomberg said.
According to Bloomberg, the fines recommended by a Miami jury on 87 year-old Carl Zwerner, which is 150% of his Swiss bank account for failing to file a Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts,was excessive considering that it was a civil case.
