With barely three months before the premiere of "Arrow" Season 3, fans of Oliver-Felicity love team, popularly known as Olicity, are eager to know what is in store for both characters in the upcoming instalment.
Citing reports from the Comic-Con last July, Entertainment Weekly answered a question from an avid Olicity fan about the "explosive" first date of flourishing lovers Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). The outlet admitted that specific details about the date of both characters are yet to be confirmed. However, they revealed something that might be even more explosive than the date info.
According to the website, someone is set to come in between the relationship of Oliver and Felicity this coming season. Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg revealed about the arrival of a character named Ray Palmer, who will be portrayed by "Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh. The new character is reportedly going to be Oliver's biggest rival with Felicity this season. Kreisberg said there is a powerful chemistry between Routh and Rickards that could potentially create a love triangle storyline in season 3.
"[Brandon] actually did a chemistry test with Emily [Bett Rickards] and we didn't have any doubt [before], but when everyone saw that, the two of them just jumped off the screen together," Kreisberg noted. "It's funny because we had a picture of Stephen, Stephen's headshot, and we had Emily's headshot, and there was a blank on the board. Once you put Brandon's up there, you're like, 'Oh yeah, these are two guys.'"
Meanwhile, Roy Harper, played by "Teen Wolf" alumnus Colton Haynes, will face the consequences of killing a two police men, Enstars reported. One of the representatives in the panel for "Arrow" during the recently concluded Comic-Con, Haynes revealed that his character will be surprised in the upcoming installment, as he will learn that he in fact killed two police officers, of which he is completely oblivious of. He said that Roy will have to face the repercussions of being a cop-killer in the series's next chapter.
"No one has told Roy yet because in that last scene with Felicity, I was basically out cold and she was like 'yeah, you were out cold. So no one has told Roy yet that he is basically a cop-killer, that he killed two cops," told Haynes. "Eventually that's going to come out and how that affects Roy, we don't know yet, I haven't read that far. Roy is going to have to deal with the repercussions of that and who knows what it is going to be, I actually don't know."
"Arrow" Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on October 8th on The CW network.
