It appears that tension is brewing between lovers and inmates Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) in the upcoming third season of "Orange is the New Black." Alex will return to prison after Piper tattled on the parole officer about her plan to escape, International Business Times reported
It could be recalled in Season 2 that Alex was able to get out of Litchfield detention facility, as she served as a witness against her previous boss who got her involved in drug dealing. However, it seems that Piper is determined bring Alex back to prison in the third installment of Netflix's multi-award winning series. Through the help of Polly (Maria Dizzia), Piper was able to inform the parole officer of Alex's plan to flee. With Piper's tip-off, there won't definitely a warm reunion for the couple this coming season.
In an interview with TV Guide, Schilling herself revealed that her character's betrayal in the hope of being reunited with Alex will cause a rift between the on-and-off lovers. Alex will be enraged after learning that it was Piper's phone call that brought her back to jail.
"I think that they [Piper and Alex] have such a strong connection. I care about seeing them both happy. [Alex's reaction to Piper's phone call] will be a big part of Season 3," told Schilling.
According to the outlet, Alex will also be very visible in every episode of Season 3 unlike the previous instalment, as there will be "another shift" in the relationship of Piper and Alex.
Meanwhile, the "Argo" star will reveal more skin in the upcoming season three of the series, told Enstarz. Schilling, who made a number of nude scenes in the previous season, will once more bear it all in Season 3. The 30-year-old actress dished out clues about her upcoming on-screen nudity during the recently concluded TV Academy event, saying that another revealing scene is "in the works" this coming season.
"I had to have a lot of discussions about every time I took my clothes off," Schilling said.
The third season of "Orange is the New Black" is expected to return on Netflix in summer of 2015.
