'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star, Teresa Guidice and husband Joe face animal abuse charge adding to other legal woes

Teresa Guidice and husband Joe of Real Housewives of New Jersey seem to be in a bit of hot water lately. While the couple is awaiting their sentencing for fraud, her husband, Joe, could also face jail time for animal abuse.

Radar Online reported that animal rights activist, Kris Kelly, claimed that Joe Guidice is an animal abuser. The report claimed that Kelly was disgusted by the Sunday episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, which revealed that two of the chickens Guidice had bought were eaten by the family's German Shepherds. Radar Online added that the dogs are kept outside in a kennel, next to the chicken coop.

In an interview with Radar Online, Kelly said, "Joe Guidice has two dogs in the back yard in a cage. The dogs killed two chickens... Then they go to a farm and get two more chickens and then blow cigarette smoke in a goat's face and the goat screams."

Radar Online added in its article that according to Kelly, Guidice's interaction with the German Shepards is very disturbing. Moreover, Kelly asserted, "One of the German Shepherds cowered in fear when Joe came in the backyard after the dog killed two chickens. I believe this man is an animal abuser."

Kelly also added, "He teaches his daughter to disrespect farm animals. The child screams through every episode of the New Jersey Housewives and that's annoying, BUT when you are being rough with animals, it turns from annoying to unacceptable."

Meanwhile, the Guidice couple is currently awaiting their sentence which is due next month, after they pleaded guilty last March to fraud charges. Radar Online added that Guidice could be deported back to his native Italy as he is not a United States Citizen, while The Examiner reported that Guidice could spend four years in prison, while his wife, Teresa, could serve two years.
