Hans Lipschis, a 93-year-old alleged former Auschwitz guard who once lived in the U.S. on suspicion of accessory to murder. Lipschis was taken into custody Monday after prosecutors concluded there was 'compelling evidence' he was involved in crimes at the death camp while there from 1941 to 1945.
The Jodi Arias jury began its first full day of deliberations on Monday, the Huffington Post reported. Arias is accused of stabbing the 30-year-old Travis Alexander nearly 30 times, shooting him in the head and cutting his throat in his Mesa, Arizona home on June 4, 2008.
Harper Lee, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "To Kill a Mockingbird" has sued her literary agent, claiming he tricked her into assigning the copyright on her book to him, Reuters reported. The lawsuit was filed in federal court against Samuel Pinkus, the son-in-law of Lee's long-term agent, Eugene Winick, who had represented her for more than 40 years. In 2002, Winick became ill, and Pinkus diverted several of his clients to his own company.
