Prosecution in the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting, said that it will release 911 calls and videos at the preliminary hearing scheduled for later this week. During this hearing, Judge William Sylvester will decide whether prosecution has enough evidence against alleged shooter James Egan Holmes to head to trial.
Former Arizona Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords, met with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Wednesday in the City Hall to talk about gun-control legislation, as reported by the New York Post. The Mayor tweeted a picture of Giffords and her husband, astronaut, Mark Kelly in the meeting. The meeting was not made public untill after and no details of the discussion has yet been made public.
According to FBI, more people have received background checks at the time of gun-purchase this month in 2012, than the same time in 2011, mainly after the Newtown elementary school shooting in Connecticut.
The Lifetime movie based on the Casey Anthony murder is ready for its release this month. The network has released first glimpses of the movie in its trailer starring Robert Lowe and Virginia Welch.
