Reeva Steenkamp, the 30-year-old model who was shot to death early Thursday morning at paraolympian Oscar Pistorius' Pretoria house, reportedly had a socially-conscious heart.
Steenkamp and Pistorius had been dating for several months, NBC News reported. Police said that Pistorius has had a history of problems in the past leading up to this murder charge. Police also said earlier reports that Steenkamp may have been mistaken for a burglar by Pistorius did not come from them. Pistorius was due to appear at a correctional services police court at 2 p.m. on Thursday but the case was later delayed until Friday.
The South African model tweeted just hours before her death that she was looking forward to sharing some Valentine's cupcakes with friends her friends, publicist Sarit Tomlinson confirmed to Fox News.
On Wednesday, one day before Valentine's Day, Steenkamp tweeted, "What do you have up your sleeve for your love tomorrow???" adding the hashtags '#getexcited and #ValentinesDay.' She had over 7,000-plus followers

She initially began as a paralegal. Tomlinson said her client was passionate about cars and cooking and she had some acting projects in the works at the time of her death, including "smaller TV roles as well as a lead in a new reality TV show."
