In an interview with People's magazine, former congressman Anthony Weiner, who was forced to resign after a sexting scandal, denied rumors that he plans to run for New York mayor in 2013. He tells Peoples Magazine, "I can't say absolutely that I will never run for public office again, but I'm very happy in my present life. I'm not doing anything to plan a campaign," according to Yahoo News.

In an Interview with PBS, Mark Emmert, President of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), told interviewer Tavis Smiley that the organization has not yet decided whether the 'death penalty,' is the correct punishment for the Penn State University cover-up scandal in the Jerry Sandusky, former football coach convicted of child sex-abuse, case. However, Emmert says that the option is not "off the table," according to the PBS interview.

On Tuesday the Boy Scouts of America announced that it will uphold its ban on permitting membership to homosexuals. The decision comes from a two-year confidential review by a special committee of 11 members, who unanimously upheld the existing policy that denies gay people membership.
