On Monday Apple filed for an injunction on Samsung products that were found to infringe on Apple's patent design by a San Jose jury last week in the highly talked about Apple and Samsung lawsuit which won Apple $1.05 billion. Samsung released a statement Tuesday saying that it "will take all necessary measures to ensure the availability of our products in the U.S. market," as reported by computerworld.com.
The Roman Catholic Church Archbishop-elect Rev. Salvatore Cordileone was arrested by police at the check-point of the San Diego State University for driving drunk. Cordileone was taken to a San Diego County prison, where the bail was set for $2,500 and he was released on Monday. Cordileone is expected in court on October 9, according to Detective Gary Hassen.
The $1.05 billion penalty slapped on Samsung Electronics Co. in the patent infringement lawsuit with Apple might already be showing an adverse impact on the South Korean company, as Reuters reports that the company stocks fell 7.5 percent on Monday, reducing the company's value by at least $12 billion. Now after its major victory, Apple is seeking an injunction on the Samsung products in question in the U.S. market.
After a court ruled Friday, August 24, that Samsung Electronics Co. “willfully infringed” on a number of Apple’s patent devices, granting them $1.05 billion, Samsung looks to appeal the decision, while Apples seeks an injunction of Samsung devices in the U.S. market.
