Ryan McCombie, a Penn State University Board of Trustee member, sent a letter to the National Collegiate Athletic Association Monday evening indicating intent to appeal the sanctions posed on the university as a consequence of the cover-up scandal in the Jerry Sandusky, former football coach, child-sex abuse case.
On Tuesday, psychiatrist of alleged Dark Knight shooter James Egan Holmes, Dr. Lynne Fenton said that she informed a police about the 24-year-old expressing concern that her patient showed signs of imminent violence. The fact that Dr. Fenton had to break the doctor-patient confidentiality code and surpass University authorities to inform the police suggests that her concern had to be of the highest degree.
At a fundraiser in Idaho, famous actor-director-producer Clint Eastwood showed up to support presumed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Eastwood, a Republican, also supported President Obama’s republican rival John McCain in the 2008 Presidential Elections.
Presumed Republican candidate for 2012 presidential elections, Mitt Romney has out beat President Barrack Obama, yet again, in raising campaign funds for the upcoming November elections. On Monday, team Romney took to the social media site of Twitter to announce that the campaign raised $101.3 million for the month of July in conjunction with the Republican National Committee. The Massachusetts governor managed to raise approximately $25 million more than that raised by the Obama campaign.
