Defense Secretary Ash Carter unveiled a series of family-friendly proposals on Thursday for the military that would increase parental leave, child care and health care coverage to bolster efforts to recruit and retain high-quality service members.

Former six city money brokers, who were accused of helping jailed banker Tom Hayes, were recently cleared of the Libor rigging scandal. They said they were made scapegoats for people who are senior to them.

David Cameron’s proposed housing and planning bill is bombarded by criticisms from the Local Government Association (LGA), warning that it will lead to the loss of 88,000 council homes in England by 2020. It will also make people spend a collected £210 million to live in more expensive rental sectors.
