Donald Trump’s tomato-thrower charged with disorderly conduct

One of the protesters from Iowa who threw tomatoes at Donald Trump on Tuesday is now charged with disorderly conduct.

According to CBS News, 28 year-old Andrew Joseph Alemao was able to snuck past Secret Service agents and threw tomatoes at the GOP candidate while he was at the podium saying his criticisms against his political rival, Hilary Clinton.

Trump waved to Alemao and yelled: "Ready? Are you ready? Get him out of here!"

Alemao was immediately turned over to the University of Iowa police by the Secret Service. He was charged with disorderly conduct – an offense which includes a fine of $625 or 30 days behind bars.

He spent Tuesday night at the Johnson County Jail and was released Wednesday morning.

Following his tomato-attack on Trump, reporters quickly posted photos of the incident which captured the splattered remains of the tomato.

“The remains of a tomato lobbed at Donald Trump, and other images from Iowa,” Bloomberg Politics posted via Twitter on Thursday.

In other news, Donald Trump and his thoughts on racism caught the attention of Anne Frank’s stepsister. Eva Schloss, an 86-year old Auschwitz survivor, thinks that Trump’s political ambitions can be mirrored from Hitler’s when he ruled Germany during the Second World War.

Schloss echoed her thoughts about the GOP candidate’s campaign for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims” in a post published by the News Week.

“If Donald Trump become the next president of the U.S. it would be a complete disaster. I think he is acting like another Hitler by inciting racism,” she wrote.

She also pointed out Trump’s pledge to create a wall between the US and Mexico to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the country.

Schloss and Frank were both Jewish refugees until their families were forced to hide in 1942 during the Nazi occupation. She founded Anne Frank Trust UK and also authored several books which told her stories about the holocaust.

No word yet from Trump about this issue.
