A group of pharmacists from Washington is asking for the Supreme Court’s help to review a state ruling which forces pharmacy owners to dispense abortion pills against their religious beliefs.
Four people could face more charges following the murder of a man in the Wyoming County. The additional charges could possibly be filed in two weeks during a preliminary hearing on the case.
Derrick Ambrose Jr., 22, was shot following a disturbance outside New World Lounge on Riehl Street. On Friday, attorneys for his estate announced the city’s insurance carrier has agreed to a $2.5 million settlement of a wrongful death lawsuit in the case.
The removal petition against Dallas County District Attorney Susan Hawk was dismissed, apparenlty because of anti-discrimination against people with disabilities. The ruling court determined that Hawk's acknowledgement of her depression and her willingness to seek treatment made her fit to continue serving in public office.
