House holds ex-IRS official in contempt for her silence on Tea Party probe
Yesterday, the US House of Representatives has voted to hold ex-director of exempt organizations at the Internal Revenue Service Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress and to ask the US Attorney General to appoint a special counsel to conduct a probe on the tax agency nearly a year after the former director of exempt organizations has invoke her right against self-incrimination to avoid answering questions about her role in scrutinizing nonprofits' political activity.
