‘Terminator 5: Genesis’ Spoilers: ‘Percy Jackson’s’ Douglas Smith confirmed as part of the cast, ‘Mother of dragons’ Emilia Clarke to play Sarah Connor Role, Characters to travel back in time

With less than a year before the most anticipated fifth installment of "Terminator" series dubbed as "Terminator 5: Genesis," movie goers are literally at edge of their seat waiting for updates regarding the film.

First in the list of updates is "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" star Douglas Smith. The 29-year-old actor who also played "X-Men's" Cyclops is now confirmed as part of "Terminator 5's" line up of cast.

Douglas' part in the fifth franchise of Arnold Schwarzenegger's legendary cyborg film has not been discussed yet. However, reports suggest that he could either take the role of a younger Kyle Reese or a younger version of John Connor as the movie is allegedly going to be comprised of time traveling.

The front runner of the film Arnold Schwarzenegger himself divulged that two T-800 robots will be included in "Terminator 5: Genesis." The younger one is reportedly going to be maneuvered by Skyney, while the older version is going to be reprogrammed and will appear in the latter part of the movie.

Albeit Schwarzenegger playing the lead role of the movie for 30 years already, the 66-year-old Austrian- born actor is still slated to play his original role as the heroic cyborg in "Terminator's" fifth release.

Fan may also notice that the veteran actor is recently sporting a gray hair. He clarified that this still has a connection with his iconic role in the movie.

"The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath. "It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh," Schwarzenegger explained in an interview with MTV News. "The Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast, but it definitely ages."

While reports suggest that "Terminator 5: Genesis" will merely be a reboot of the original film, further updates claim that the movie will travel through time back to the first two films, moving back and forth in the plot through the aid of time traveling scenes.

"Game of Thrones'" Emilia Clark is also reported to land the role of Sarah Connor in the upcoming installment of "Terminator." Rumor has it that the mother of dragons turned down her supposed acting stint with "Short Term 12" for her Sarah Connor role.

"Terminator 5: Genesis" is scheduled to hit the big screen on July 1, 2015.
