Harrison Ford to be replaced as Indiana Jones due to busy schdule with ‘Star Wars: Episode 7’; ‘Twilight’s’ Robert Patinson and ‘Guardian of the Galaxy’s’ Bradley Cooper reportedly vie for ‘Indy’ role

As Harrison Ford recovers from his injury from shooting "Star Wars: Episode 7," reports about the possible replacement for Indiana Jones 5 cast circulate the internet.

Among the rumored actors who are said to replace veteran actor Harrison Ford - who consistently played the titular role of Indy over three decades - are "Twighlight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson and one of the lead stars of "Guardians of the Galaxy," Bradley Cooper.

Aside from being injured, Harrison Ford is also tied up with his very hectic schedule as he already started filming "Star Wars: Episode 7," allegedly making him unqualified for Disney's requirement to be in a long-term option for the upcoming franchise of "Indiana Jones."

A source from MarketSaw told that the 72-year-old actor has not made a commitment with "Indiana Jones" producers, leading them to open the slot for two more features.

"Regarding Harrison Ford, two more Indiana Jones features are in the negotiation stages as per Ford's contract clause on Star Wars, which is the primary reason he didn't 'publicly' or 'privately' commit, or so I'm told," the insider noted back in February.

An insider also told Showizspy.com that Rob, who played Edward in the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel, is first in the list of Disney to play the role of Indiana Jones due to his impeccable acting in the vampire themed movie.
