Egypt: Chaos Reigns in the Streets as Violent Clashes Erupt Between Egyptian Army and Pro-Morsi Protesters (Video)

An Egyptian Health Ministry official said that 149 people have been killed and another 874 were injured in clashes between security forces and supporters of the ousted president Mohammed Morsi, the Associated Press reported. The Egyptian police swept in early Wednesday morning with armored vehicles and bulldowers in an effort to clear two encampments of pro-Morsi supporters. 25 were reported killed in Minya province south of the capital and one each in the cities of Alexandria, Assiut and Ban Suef.

Gunman Holds 3 People Hostage: SWAT Teams Converge Outside St. Joseph Louisiana Bank (Video)

A gunman took three people hostage on Tuesday at a bank in rural St Joseph, Louisiana and a state police negotiator was brought in to talk to the man, authorities said. The standoff, which began on Tuesday afternoon at the Tensas State Bank. The hostage taker has been armed with some type of automatic weapon, according to Colonel Mike Edmonson, who is the head of the Louisiana State Police.
