Surrey Police agreed to payout a settlement to the parents' lawsuit following the death of Breck Bednar. Bednar, 14 years old, murdered by a 19 year old computer game addict who lured Bednak to his home. The victim's parents claims the police failed to protect their son over improper response.
A federal judge allowed the filed lawsuit of David Ganek, the hedge-fund founder to proceed in court. The ruling will give him the opportunity to present evidence regarding his claims the FBI fabricated search warrant documents to raid his office on November 2010.
Andre Hatchett, 49 years old was wrong convicted over the death of Neda Mae Carter, 38 who was found dead on Bedford-Stuyvesant park in 1991. Brooklyn District attorney's office vacated Hatchett's conviction after reviewing his case.
