Fox Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews is awarded with $55 million as compensation following the result of her lawsuit case trial against a Nashville hotel and a stalker who secretly filmed and posted nude videos of her on the internet. The jury's decision was delivered on Monday sending the known TV personality to tears of joy.

According to Yahoo News, the jury found Michael David Barrett is 51 percent responsible, while the Nashville Marriott is 49 responsible for the incident. Erin Andrews is seeking $76 million on her suit against the West End Hotel Partners, which operates Marriott hotel in Vanderbilt and Michael David Barrett.

Barrett reportedly altered the peephole of the hotel room and filmed Andrews while she was staying on the said hotel in 2008. The next year, Barrett posted the video on the internet. Partly divided on the liability, Barrett was ordered to pay, approximately $28 million, while the hotel will also pay $26 million as compensation.

The decision after the seven-hour deliberation sent Andrews in tears, embracing and thanking the people who were with her supporting her, Tennessean reported. "The support I've received from the people of Nashville has been overwhelming," Andrews posted on her social media Twitter account after the verdict. She thanked her family, friends and legal team and also she was honored by the support she's been receiving from the victims around the world.

However, on the other hand, Marc Dedman, the defense lawyer for the hotel said he was disappointed on the outcome decision of the trial, Reuters reported. He will also consult his clients if they would appeal on the given decision.

Andrews is currently as the broadcaster for Fox Sports and co-hosts ABC's Dancing with the Stars. She testified during the civil suit that she feels guilty her current boyfriend, Minnesota Wild hockey player Jarrett Stoll, didn't know her before the incident because of the emotional toll it has taken on her.
