Justice Department Sues Ferguson City Council for revising DOJ agreement
The Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against the City Council of Ferguson after the latter failed to accept the settlement conditions set forth by the former.

The Department of Justice said it is exploring legal action against Ferguson after the City Council approved revisions to a proposed tentative agreement following federal investigations to the city after the shooting of a black teen by local police officer in 2014.
Sentecing coucils in England and Wales seek stricter guidelines in reducing sentence of offenders. Under the proposal, defendants who want to lessen their sentence by one-third must plea of guilty at the first opportunity.
