Marvel's space opera is almost geared up for its return as 'Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2' has completed their needs for production. One of which is the cast which has recently added Tommy Flanagan to join the fun. Meanwhile, actress Karen Gillan speaks up regarding her villainous role, Nebula.
'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' is known to have a stellar cast with the addition of Kurt Russel but another actor from 'Sons of Anarchy' was linked with the movie. According to Slash Film, Tommy Flanagan has been added to the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as one of the Yondu's Ravagers. His character is said to take the bounty on Rocket Raccoon which also starts a dispute within the group. Flanagan now joins Elizabeth Debicki, Pom Klementieff, and Chris Sullivan who were announced to have boarded the sequel last month.
On related news, Cleveland reported that Karen Gillan was cornered on Saturday about questions on the impact of villain Nebula in the film. "I think she's a being that's been cybernetically enhanced," implying that the character is half robot, half human. However, the actress did not further discuss on her role to prevent spoiling the movie. Nebula is a pirate and mercenary in Marvel comics and she claims to be a daughter of Thanos, the villain that the Marvel has been teasing the fans.
Meanwhile, director James Gunn also teased the fans with behind-the-scenes photos of the production team for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Cosmic Book News wrote. Gunn took it to Facebook to offer insights as to how the movie-making process is being done. James Gunn was seen posing with Marty Kitrosser, the film's script supervisor. The director detailed Marty's role and importance in the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in his post.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is the upcoming sequel to the 2014's successful space action film starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper. The film is rumored to take action on a story that revolves finding Quill's parentage and father. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is directed by James Gunn and it will hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
