A "doctor" of scripts in Hollywood is said to save the script of "Star Wars: Rogue One". Lucas Films brought in Christopher McQuarrie to fix the script of the movie. It was also said that more realistic looking aliens will be seen in the movie.
According to Den Of Geek this movie will have a plot that is going to take place before the "Star Wars: A New Hope". Gareth Edwards, known for directing the movie "Godzilla" will direct the said movie. Originally, the movie was written by Gary Whitta. Then, Chris Weitz rewrote the film following Whitta's leaving the project. However, the two did not seem to satisfy the production as they still want Christopher McQuarrie to do some fixing with the script.
As Collider reported, McQuarrie was quietly brought in to tune and repair some parts of the screenplay. They also said that McQuarrie might not be in the credits as he will only tweak something in the script. McQuarrie is known for writing and directing the movie "Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation". This salvaging of script wasn't his first time as he previously helped save the chaotic "World War Z".
The fans will see more realistic looking aliens with this movie as director Gareth Edwards said in Techno Buffalo. He is visualizing this movie to be more rough and darker than the previous "Star Wars" movies. This means that there will be more action and violence within the movie. Neal Scanlan, who worked on the creatures for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Rogue One", said the aliens will have more screen time and they will not only be extras but will have significant roles. He added that since the aliens are interacting with the human in the human world, they will be seen more.
"Star Wars: Rogue One" will have Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, and Jiang Wen in the film. On December 16 this year, "Star Wars: Rogue One" will be released.
