LG seems to be moving a notch in the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update competition as new release update has been made public just this week. LG G4 smartphones of AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon Wireless are poised for an early February release.
LG G4 units being one of the luckiest smartphones are now reported anew to continue to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the coming days. The official release is in response to Sprint's pre-emptive move. Canadian carrier Telus also have released already the same update to G4.
Users of G4 units under Verizon, US Cellular, T-Mobile and AT&T are now just a couple of steps away from the official Marshmallow release. Just as with Sprint's rollout, Marshmallow will come out with a bunch of security patches a new additions and updated emojis, plus the key features of the Marshmallow launcher.
Aside from these, G4 under these carriers will also get fixes to a few known issues affecting the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, MMS and more.
Verizon Wireless
Verizon Wireless is reported keeping up with its record as the biggest and advanced in Android updates as Sprint already by and by taking its crown. Verizon G4 units are slated for a February release of Marshmallow.
AT&T
AT&T is confirmed skipping the final version of Android Lollipop and will be heading directly to Marshmallow. Its G4 devices are still running on Android 5.1 Lollipop. AT&T is reportedly releasing the Marshmallow software in the first week of February.
T-Mobile
T-Mobile is only operator in the United States to have a real-time list of devices for Marshmallow updates. It is reported doing a work in the lab for a few devices including G4.
G4 units of T-Mobile are currently running on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
US Cellular
Being notorious for releasing updates first to mid-range phones, US Cellular is clearly building a niche to average income earners. With G4, a high-end device priced favorably expensive, the phone is bound for the Marshmallow update soon after February first week.
