Secretary of State John Kerry met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday, in an effort to seek a diplomatic breakthrough in the continuing crisis in Syria, NBC News reported. A "devastating storm," which has dumped more than a foot of rain in Boulder, Colorado during a 19-hour period has caused widespread flash flooding. The floods' damage killed at least three people along Colorado's Rocky Mountain range, from Boulder south to Colorado Springs.
