The GoPro has since revolutionized photography and video, going past to what regular cameras could do in various terrain and conditions. The camera brand has since made itself a favorite in the world of extreme sports and leisure.
Those who are looking into purchasing the GoPro Hero 4 should wait a while before it comes out. According to T3, the release of the Hero 4 could come sometime between June to November of this year. The schedule is in conflict to the launch of the camera's predecessors Hero 3+, Hero 3 and Hero 2, as they have all been during autumn. Meanwhile, another report from KDramastars is suggesting that the Hero 4 might be released way far in the future. How long should you wait? Try until March 2015.
As for the upcoming camera's features, DGise suggested that the Hero 4 might have the capacity to record video in 4K resolution at a speed of 30 frames per second, 1080p at 120fps, and 720p at 240fps. This is said to be all possible thanks to the new SoC Ambarella A9 chip. It will also have a Wi-Fi connection and streaming in social media. DGise also added that the Hero 4 would debut with a 13 megapixel photosensor and a new lens to allow shooting in the dark. It will also have Multi-Exposure and HDR WDR tone mapping, electronic image stabilization and improved MCTF. T3 had said that the Hero 4 would still be a waterproof camera, thanks to its housing and flat lens that allows for underwater shooting at a depth of 60m.
As GoPro cameras are usually available in black, white, or silver, a white Hero 4 is most likely available for release, with a later Hero 4+ edition adopting the remaining paint jobs, reports have said. Part of the charm of a GoPro camera is its compact size that can easily be attached to a surfboard or skateboard. As such, T3 is also speculating that a more svelte Hero 4 might be released. As for the market price of the Hero 4, it has been suggested that the price tag will not go over $400.
