According to reports, Apple Inc. received approval for a "network access license" in China meaning that the big launch of the iPhone 5 in China might be as early as December.
International Business Times suggests that the two major mobile carriers for Apple China Telecom and China Unicom will soon receive approval to sell the units.
According to Wall Street Journal "Vendors in China often start selling new handsets within weeks of approval by China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center."
According to many spectators, particularly at Forbes and Wall Street Journal, the latest smartphone will likely be introduced to the nation in December.
China Telecom Chairman, Wang Xiaochu, told the Wall Street Journal that he believes the phone will be released in China in December, if not sooner.
"It is only a matter of time before the iPhone 5 is available on both China Unicom and China Telecom, but a deal with the much larger China Mobile remains elusive until Apple can work out a deal with the carrier," as reported by Forbes.
The highly awaited iPhone 5 was launched in America on September 12 by Apple Inc. in San Francisco, after months of anticipation, CEO Tim Cook and vice president of marketing Phil Schiller announced at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco Apple's latest smartphone - the iPhone 5. Schiller told a room full of people, "It's an absolute jewel," as reported by Fox News.
1) Aesthetic: The iPhone 5 flaunts a wider screen i.e. 4 inches. Its physical type is sleeker and lighter than the 4S, particularly 18 percent thinner and 20 percent wider than its previous model.
2) Wireless Compatibility: As Wall Street Journal among others predicted iPhone 5 has 4G LTE HSPA+, DC-HSDPA compatibility. The phone has 4G like its rival Samsung Galaxy S3 and others. According to Schiller the new model is two times faster than its predecessor, mainly credited to a new A6 technical processor.
3) Dock Connector, You're going to need new accessories- that was the rumor prior to the launch, now this rumor has been become a fact! Yes! iPhone 5 has a new dock connector, smaller than that of the previous iPhone. The new dock connector of the iPhone 5 is many pin ports less than any of the other iPhones in the past. While this sounds like an improvement what this essentially means that the accessories including chargers that iPhone users possess now will be rendered useless should they decide to up-grade to the latest iPhone
6) Camera: obviously the camera is an incredibly important aspect for the iPhone, or rather any smartphone for that matter. The iPhone 5 too has newer features pertaining to this function. Although it possess the same 8MP as its previous models, Schiller and Cook assured customers that the camera has new improved lower-light capabilities, along with quicker image capturing ability.
