Xiaomi Mi 5c is expected to be released this month and leaks say that the more affordable version of the flagship device will cater the Snapdragon 625, a metal back, and a 3GB RAM. The phone will be power-packed for a cheaper price.
Xiaomi normally uses "S" for an upgrade of a specific version while applies "C" for the more affordable ones, as reported by GSMArena. The Mi 5c was supposed to be launched in December 2016, which didn't happen at all. Now more rumours indicate that the phone is to be released this month.
In terms of the leaked features, the Xiaomi Mi 5c will have the Snapdragon 625 clocked in 1.8 GHz. The Qualcomm chip is believed to be most power-efficient thus will offer users with maximum battery life without compromising the unit's overall performance.
The metal back will also be used for the phone. But unlike the Xiaomi Mi 5 that has a brushed finish, the 5c will not. However, it still looks attractive for an affordable phone. It will have a 3200mAh battery. The 3GB RAM will be partnered with a 64GB phone storage. The Android version is still unknown, though most likely it will have the Marshmallow upgradable to Nougat. It will run on MIUI 8.
The camera will be 12MP in capacity for the rear, and 8MP camera for the front camera. The sensors are not yet confirmed, but hopefully it will have phase detection, autofocus, and dual-tone flash as well.
Xiaomi Mi 5c will have a 5.5-inch full-FD display with 2.5 curved glass protection. The phone will have narrow bezels with maximized screen-to-body ratio. Sadly, it will not support a fast-charging feature.
The Mi 5c will be launched ahead of the next flagship device Xiaomi Mi 6, which is expected to have Snapdragon 845 SoC, a dual-edged curved body, and a 6GB RAM., according to Gadgets.NDTV.
