Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be having a blue coral variant, and this could well be inspired from Samsung Galaxy S7's recent colour style. This was teased by a picture posted on Weibo where Xiaomi founder Lei Jun is holding a Mi Note 2 in blue coral variation.
Samsung suffered a major blow in their company sales when the exploding Note 7 fiasco happened which resulted to the recollection of millions of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units from all over the world. So the launch of Samsung Galaxy S7 in new colour variations - the blue coral and black pearl model - may have upped the revenues to compensate for the losses.
As a leading business model in terms of smartphone business, Xiaomi among others took the same idea and made their very own flagship Xiaomi Mi Note 2 other color variations. Officially launched in November 2016, the phone only came with three colours - black, gold, and silver.
However, the teaser post on Weibo indicates not only one new colour variation but four - blue, green, pink, and purple. This means that more consumers will have an array of options that will fit with their style and preference, according to GSMArena.
Among the excelling features of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is the 5.7 inch AMOLED screen which is currently rare in the smartphone market. It comes with a dual standby LTE support. It comes with an out-of-the-box Android Marshmallow, but may soon be available in Nougat version.
It also has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chipset running Quad-core (2x2.35 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo) and Adreno 530. It comes in either a 64GB ROM/4GB RAM or 128GB ROM/6GB RAM variation. It flaunts a 22.5MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera. [GSMArena]
Xiaomi recently announced that they will not be participating for this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017), but their next flagship device, the Xiaomi Mi 6, is expected to be launched anytime within a few months from now.
