'Rick and Morty' Season 3 premieres May 2016: Upcoming season to have 4 more episodes

Series co-creator Dan Harmon shared some details about the narrative of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. He also revealed that the upcoming installment will have 4 more episodes and is expected to return around the end of the year. While waiting for the newest season, fans and viewers can purchase the complete "Rick and Morty" Season 2 episodes via Amazon.com.

Series co-creator Dan Harmon shared some details via Den of Geek in terms of narrative of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Harmon stated, "We hired a bunch of new writers. There was a craving for a gender balance in the writers' room that we had never had. We just looked harder and I don't know if it was coincidence or because the show was popping up on the radar of a lot of great female writers noticing, it was a cominbation of all those factors."

In addition, Harmon announced that the series is slated to return during the latter months of 2016. He also revealed that Cartoon Network will be airing 14 episodes for the 3rd season instead of the initial 10-episodic run, Techno Buffalo has reported.

In the meantime, avid fans and viewers can watch the sophomore season of Blu-Ray and DVD version. According to Cross Map, the physical copy of the adult animated series will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 7, 2016 on Amazon.com. The complete "Rick and Morty" Season 2 on Blu-Ray is currently available on Amazon.com for only $24.99 from the original price of $29.98, same as with its DVD version.
