‘Rick And Morty’ Season 3: Production begins for April 2017 premiere; Series writer confirms Episode 1 is already penned

Rumor has it that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will highly likely be released around April 2017 and writer Mike McMahan just revealed that the production team has began recording the voice actors and the episode 301 script has already been penned. Also, the Adult Swim president and general manager said that fans from Canada can now legally stream the anime series' episodes online

Rumors have spread that the 3rd installment of "Rick and Morty" will likely be released around April of 2017. According to Ecumenical News, the rumors stemmed from the finale episode of season 2 where Mr. Poopy Butthole hinted that the next season might be released after a year and half or longer. The said episode was aired last October 4, 2015 which makes an April 2017 release date.

Anime writer Mike McMahan teased via his official Twitter account last Thursday, February 18, 2016 that the production team has began recording with the voice actors. In his series of tweets, he posted the the cover of the script he wrote for the premiere episode of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 with the title shaded in green highlight, Cross Map has cited.

In the meantime, fans can now legally stream "Rick and Morty" episodes in Canada. The president and general manager of Adult Swim, Christina Miller, announced via Mobile Syrup, "We continue to experiment with opportunities to reach our fans and give them access to all our original content. Adult Swim's younger viewers who wants to consume content on their screen of choice, and this direct-to-consumer offering is making our programming widely available in the Canadian marketplace."

As of now, the official release date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 has not been announced by the network or executive producers just yet. However, speculations suggest that the adult animated series will air around April of 2017 exclusively on Adult Swim.
