'Rick and Morty' Season 3: Official premiere set end of 2016; 3rd installment begins production and voice recording

Co-creator Dan Harmon announced that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will premiere around end of 2016 and they also revealed that the production and the recording of voice actors have already started. Series co-creator Dan Harmon has officially announced during the Magic City Comic-con which was held in Miami, Florida about the potential release date of "Rick and Morty". Harmon stated that season 3 will premiere end of 2016. He also revealed that Adult Swim has ordered 14 episodes for the upcoming installment, four more compare to the previous seasons where the network initially orders a 10-episodic run only, iO9 Gizmodo has cited.

Production for "Ricky and Morty" Season 3 has already began and according to Tuscany Local Media, the show's voice actors have already started recording the scripts. Co-creator Justin Roiland is the voice behind Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith while voice actors Chris Parnell is the voice behind Jerry Smith, Sarah Chalke voices Beth Smith, and Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith. Only five of them represent the rest of the cartoon characters.

As for the official synopsis of the comic book, Christian Today notes, "Having survived their adventures fending off alien invasions in head space, Rick and Morty finally return home just in time for the beginning of the same freakin' alien invasion. Can Rick and Morty stave off this newest, samest invasion? What awful decisions will they be forced to make? How long will this new galactic empire last? (Maybe 80 years? More? Probably somewhere in there."

As of now, the production of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is currently underway. The adult animated seires is expected to premiere before 2016 ends, first and exclusive on Adult Swim.

"Rick and Morty" is an American adult oriented animated TV series created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Adult Swim. The storyline revolves around Rick Sanchez a mad scientist with a drinking problem, and his teenaged grandson Morty Smith.
