Apple Inc. has already sent out invites for its March 21 event at the company's Cupertino headquarters in California at 10AM Pacific. The American tech company is anticipated to launch its 4-inch iPhone SE, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, Apple Watch bands and more during the said occasion. While tech giant hasn't spilled further information, it has left a tagline "Let us loop you in".
According to Mac Rumors, Apple Inc. will be highlighting the 4-inch iPhone SE and a new 9.7-inch iPad during the event. Rumors suggest the iPhone SE will look nearly similar to the iPhone 5s, but it will include new internal hardware that brings it in line with newer Apple iPhone devices. It is speculated to be engineered with an A9 chip, an improved camera, and NFC support for use with Apple Pay.
Tech2 noted that the upcoming iPhone 5se is also anticipated to offer 16GB and 64GB storage capacities, and a 1642mAh battery. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Live Photos support and more. Unfortunately, this handset won't get 3D Touch that will remain exclusive to the iPhone 6s.
Meanwhile, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro variant is said to arrive with the same internals just like its bigger sibling -12.9-inch iPad Pro. The upcoming iPad Pro may consider adopting a 12MP camera and there is a possibility that it would be capable of shooting 4K videos too. The powerful A9X is likely to engineer the device and it will also get an optimized Smart Cover. The screen technology will have support for Smart Pencil and one can also expect quad speakers and an upgraded RAM.
When it comes with the storage and color options, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is likely to be no different than the previous iPad Pro. However, it is the pricing that is expected to be closer to the Air models.
Additionally, Ars Technica stated that the event is also believed to announce minor hardware and software updates, including some new Apple Watch band options, iOS 9.3, WatchOS 2.2, OS X 10.11.4, and tvOS 9.2. It wasstated that the timing is about right to introduce some new Skylake-based MacBooks and MacBook Pros, too, but there is no specific details about Mac refreshes as of the moment. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean it won't happen, just less likely to happen.
As the Apple March event is just a week away, tech enthusiasts and the company's patrons are really looking forward to see the upcoming handsets to be unveiled by the Cupertino-based company.
