The Autobots and Decepticons dispute is apparently not yet finished as Transformers 5 is already underway with known helmer, Michael Bay, returning to take the directorial baton. Recently, the auditions for the upcoming sequel have started and the film has been rewarded a whopping $21 million to film in Detroit.

The Transformers 5 is slated to be back to the big screens to continue the story of Cade Yeager and the Autobots; and with this, the production team has started the call for auditions. According to Ecumenical News, its production has casting calls for lead and supporting roles as well as job posting for film crew members. The fifth installation is scheduled to start filming this June to make way for a 2017 release. Moreover, the film is said to have working title of "E75" and will be shot in London, England and Detroit, Michigan.

Forbes detailed that despite the Michigan state legislature's decision to end their film office incentive program, it will still honor the agreement made with Michael Bay. The state is said to be providing the production team with an additional $21 million as incentives to shoot in-state. Paramount Pictures and the state of Michigan have come up with a deal to shoot most of the scenes in Detroit this summer. This is in hopes of boosting its economy since the locale will be featured in a blockbuster summer movie.

Variety added that the studio is also anticipating an $80 million budget and an 850-member cast and crew. This project proves to be a benefit to the residents of Michigan as 450 of these numbers will come from the place and 228 are in full-time positions. Other than these numbers, a total of 700 is expected to be hired for extras.

Lee Rosenthal, president of physical production at Paramount Pictures, said "Michigan has been so welcoming of Michael Bay and the 'Transformers' movies over the years and we are thrilled to be returning for this next incredible installment."

Transformers 5 will be the fifth installment in the Transformers franchise starring Mark Wahlberg. The film is expected to hit theaters on June 23, 2017 while the subsequent films, Transformers 6 and 7 are scheduled for a June 8, 2018 and June 28, 2019 release, respectively.
