‘Kong: Skull Island’ Update: Tom Hiddleston talks about upcoming film’s plot details; Filming starts in Gold Coast

The famous giant gorilla will be back on the big screen since 2005's King Kong that is going to serve as a reboot. Now that the film is surely in the making, lead actor Tom Hiddleston described details regarding the storyline. Moreover, filming started during early January at Gold Coast.

The anticipated film Kong: Skull Island is said to be the second instalment in Legendary's Godzilla-Kong cinematic universe and with it is the outstanding lead actor Tom Hiddleston who detailed some specifics about what to expect. According to Youth Health Mag, the actor revealed that the film will be treated differently from other Kaiju-related movies. In his statement, Hiddleston said that it's a new reinterpretation of the King Kong's myth. Though this might confirm another world for King Kong, he added that the power of the original story is still the same but there's extraordinary on this movie since they'll be placing Kong in a new environment with distinct characters.

More to character details, Tom Hiddleston also disclosed the personality and characters that they are going to play. In the reports of Fangoria, he explained some details about his role which should be expected by the audience. He described his role as heroic and in a profession that is never seen before in any Kong film just like Brie Larson's character. Furthermore, he even promised that there will be much excitement and Hiddleston is personally motivated by the nobility and charisma of his heroic role.

After detailing some storyline, various resources reported that the filming for the anticipated movie is on going early in January at Gold Coast. An article written by Gold Coast Bulletin, the scene in the filming seems to have a crashed World War II fighter plane but still no visuals regarding the titular character which speculated many that Computer Generated Imagery will be used to shoot all scenes. Filming on the Gold Coast is expected to last until the end of January when production will move to Vietnam.

Kong: Skull Island is the upcoming monster film directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and will star Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson. The film plot details treatment and character facets were unveiled by lead actor Tom Hiddleston in an interview. Lastly, filming is now ongoing in the Gold Coast with some expecting it to be up before February. Kong: Skull Island is scheduled to be released on March 10, 2017.
