‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5’ Update: New faces coming to the franchise revealed; Film would be the last installment?

After news that the fifth instalment in the successful fantasy pirate franchise starring Johnny Depp and its release date has been confirmed, fans are asking on what would the film will offer on the table. With this, latest updates about the plot and the characters who'll be the addition to the franchise have been unveiled while some resources says that it would be last film.

The upcoming fantasy adventure film will explore concepts that are new to the audience as they'll feature Captain Salazar. According to Movie Pilot, the Dead Men Tell No Tales will bring the story back to the beginning as a new antagonist will be added in the form of Captain Salazar. The new nemesis will be played by Javier Bardem and he'll try to kill every pirate alive by summoning a hoard of ghost pirates from the Devil's Triangle. In retaliation and to save the pirate world, Captain Jack Sparrow might need to look for the Trident of Poseidon to use it against his nemesis.

More to this, recurring actors from the original film are bound to be back with Johnny Depp wherein they'll play key roles in the film. Youth Health Mag wrote that Orlando Bloom will be back to be Will Turner. The character should be noted to be the new Davy Jones and will be reuniting with an introducing character which is his son, Henry. Lastly, addition of a female character is granted through Kaya Scoledario.

However, in light of these updates, rumours speculated that the film would signify end to the franchise. According to Christian Post, these rumours emerged last year as Depp has been delaying the production after dealing with personal issues. Moreover, two years ago, the versatile actor said that 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' script would be unique from the past instalment of the franchise which increased the speculations that the studio might not be considering in another Captain Jack Sparrow movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is the fifth instalment in the pirate adventure film of Walt Disney and Motion Pictures that starred Johnny Depp since 2003. The film released updates regarding the characters that will be addition to the franchise. However, news regarding that the upcoming film will be last of the franchise have emerged. The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is slated for a July 7, 2017 release.
