‘The Expendables 4’ Update: Pierce Brosnan willing to join the team; Steve Austin reprises role as villain

After the trilogy, The Expendables is still not finished after announcements that the fourth instalment will start on production for the 2017 release. Moreover, former James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan shared his thoughts about being a part while Steve Austin is now returning to be the villain.

Success of the ensemble action film franchise, The Expendables, has hit the worldwide theaters since 2010 and now, the film isn't over with a trilogy as they're prepping new actors for the fourth instalment. The Youth Health Mag wrote that James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan that he is glad to be join the team if given the chance. The actor also said that he's looking forward to be working with great wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan and Dwayne Johnson. The latter two have been in reports as being eyed to be the new faces added for the film franchise that will be directed by Avi Lerner.

More to this, Steve Austin will be featured in the Expendables 4 are the returning Dan Paine. According to Christian Post, the production for the project will start very soon and one of the rumoured actors is professional wrestler Stone Cold, Steve Austin. He was the villain in the first film and fans have praised his performance that it is enough for a comeback and he fits the role of challenging the team.

Now that a villain is back, other characters confirmed are Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone while the rest aren't still confirmed as reported by Movie News Guide. Moreover, Hulk Hogan and Dwayne Johnson are slated to be featured but both of them have the interest to be the antagonist in the film. The Rock even stated that he'd want to hunt every single one of the Expendables if casted as villain in the movie.

The Expendables 4 is the upcoming fourth instalment in the 2010 action franchise, The Expendables. It is confirmed that key actors are going to be back while additional faces might be Pierce Brosnan, Hulk Hogan and Dwayne Johnson. Furthermore, the first film's villain is back as Steve Austin is being rumoured to be part. The Expendables 4 is expected to be released within the year 2017.
