2001's Ocean's Eleven is getting a reboot and like Ghostbusters, it will be a gender swap wherein the all-female team will be led by Sandra Bullock. Moreover, the reboot might give the female version role of Rusty Ryan to Selena Gomez.
It's almost 15 years since the first film of comedy heist trilogy has come out which starred George Clooney and Brad Pitt as the head of squad. And now their counter parts are being suggested. According to Star Pulse, reports indicate that Selena Gomez is being vouchered by Brad Pitt in the remake of Ocean's Eleven. The 52-year old actor has been talking with the producers about the actress that also in his latest film, The Big Short, after the report revealed that Pitt thinks Gomez would be a perfect fit for the all-female remake. This would be rooted to the claims that Pitt sees Gomez as being hilarious and having a quirky side that can be explored to the big screen.
More to this, Hollywood Life also wrote that the actor isn't in talks to appear in the film remake but nonetheless, his influence is being valued. The article said that Pitt may call in some favors to include the actress in the short list. Moreover, Pitt has close ties with the upcoming film's director, Gary Ross. Lastly, it should be noted that his buddy George Clooney, who played Danny Ocean, is also included in the reboot which could give a chance for the pop star.
In light of this news, the actress also stated her interest in having the role given to her. In an article published by Access Hollywood, the 23-year old actress stated she'd love to be included in the remake. This is after Gomez hanged out with Pitt during the Golden Globes last January 10. However, when asked about the Ocean's Eleven remake, the actress seemed surprised as this was new information to her but nonetheless, she responded "I would love that," adding that "I would be totally open to that."
