Apple working on solution for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus battery problem

By

Apple Inc. is now investigating and working hard to determine the cause of the battery problem encountered by iPhone 6s and 6s Plus' users. It is said that the handsets are displaying inaccurate percentage of the smartphones' battery life.

According to The Independent, some iPhones may fail to update its battery percentage, meaning the smartphone might show as being full but in fact be about to run out of battery. This problem has affected the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

It is reported that this issue can be fixed with a temporary solution but the American tech giant is working on something more permanent. The smartphones can be thrown out when its users are travelling through different time zones, or when the time on the handset is manually changed.

Daily Express cited the step-by-step process on how to temporarily fix the said battery problem on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. If a user notices that their iPhone is suffering with the said issue, Apple recommends restarting the phone, then navigating to Settings>General>Date & Time - and the switch on Set Automatically.

However, this isn't a permanent fix, Apple has admitted. If users noticed the battery percentage is getting stuck again, they will have to contact Apple Support for more help. Unfortunately, Apple stilll have not indicated when a permanent solution will be rolled out. Nevertheless, the American tech company promised that it is investigating the cause and is already looking for solution.

Additionally, The Guardian reported that the iPhone-maker has a history of bugs that is linked to its time and date settings. For several years, a bug with the smartphone's automatic daylight savings tuning as been breaking alarms, making some users late for their work. The daylight savings is also to blame for a do not disturb bug in 2013, while a bug in the iPhone's text handling found last year meant anyone could suddenly crash the smartphone with an SMS message.

As of the moment, Apple is testing a new version of its iOS software that could fix the issue. The iOS 9.3 update was recently released in public beta to testers. This will fix bugs and add a few new features including a night mode that filters out blue light and the ability to pair multiple Apple Watches with a single iPhone.
