Various jailbreaker groups have been working hard to come up with the iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2 jailbreak tools. Recently, these iOS versions are said to have been jailbroken and the release of the tools are coming out very soon.
According to Neurogadget, users of an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch are really interested as to when the iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2 jailbreaks will be released. The final versions of these updates have already been launched by Apple.
The iOS 9.1 and 9.2 have been tried for a while by the developers and public testers and all this time, Pangu 9 and TaiG are the only ones who have progress on the jailbroken versions.
As of the moment, Pangu 9 has managed to jailbreak iOS 9.0, 9.0.1 and 9.0.2, then Apple patched all security loopholes in beta 4 of iOS 9.1. This is the reason why hackers from Pangu 9 advise the users not to update their devices yet to iOS 9.1 or iOS 9.2 if they want to continue having the jailbroken version. With this, they could enjoy having all kinds of tweaks from the Cydia stores.
If users have mistakennly upgraded their devices to iOS 9.1, they can't downgrade to iOS 9.0.2 anymore, because Apple stopped signing this version. Now, there is no public jailbreak solution for the two iOS versions yet as the jailbreak vulnerabilities that have been used for the iOS 9 and 9.02 were already patched.
Despite the reports that there is still no jailbreak solutions for these iOS versions, Forbes reported that hope is still on the horizon.
Luca Todesco, also known as @qwertyoruiop, has posted screenshots of the iOS 9.2.1 beta working with Cydia, the jailbreaking app and tweak store app, indicating that it is now impossible to jailbreak iOS. Even Todesco admitted that iOS 9.2 is much harder to jailbreak than iOS 9.1.
GottaBeMobile added that Todesco who claimed to have jailbroken 9.2 won't release it publicly and will instead leave that up to jailbreak teams like TaiG and Pangu. With this, it seems that there will be no new jailbreak release until iOS 9.2.1 launches. This is because if an iOS 9.2 jailbreak is released before the iOS 9.2.1 update arrives, it's completely probable for Apple to quickly patch up the exploits.
As far as when iOS 9.2.1 will launch is up in the air, but it's more likely for the fans to see it sometime this month. After iOS 9.2.1 rolls out is when it's probable to finally see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, but enthusiasts still have to wait and see what happens.
