'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' is the last film in the popular live-action series based on the CAPCOM video games of the same name. Milla Jovovich teases that the new film will be the "grittiest" and that it is full of great action scenes. She also revealed that it will feature a new and improved Alice.
According to Gamespresso, lead actress Milla Jovovich admitted that the sixth and last film in the zombie apocalypse cinematic series will be "much more gritty and raw than the last one". She added, "The action is in your face and very realistic. No slow motion."
The 40-year old actress found international success when signed on as the main protagonist of the first ever release in the live-action adaptation based on the CAPCOM video games. In 2002, Jovovich starred opposite Michelle Rodriguez in Paul W.S. Anderson's 'Resident Evil'. The film proved to be successful grossing $102 million against a $35 million budget and eventually spawned five more follow-up films.
Jovovich took to answering fan questions through a Twitter Q&A session, according to GameSpot. She described how hard leave a long-running series that she's been part of for 15 years and that it was fun working on the latest one since it had "killer" action scenes.
She was also asked about her character Alice to which she replied, "I think Alice has really come into her own in this movie. We see sides to her that we've never seen in the other films!... Alice has finally embraced who she is and what she has become. She is more confident and strong."
According to The Independent, 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' will pick up after the events of the 2012 release 'Resident Evil: Retribution'. It is also intended as the concluding film in the action-horror film franchise. It will follow the exploits of Alice who returns to Raccoon City to go after the notorious Umbrella Corporation.
'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' is an upcoming action-horror film written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. It is scheduled to be released on January 27, 2017. It stars Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Ruby Rose, Shawn Roberts, Eoin Macken and William Levy among others.
