‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Update: Tie-in novel for video game confirmed; Game author will collaborate with upcoming film production

Fans have been waiting for the green light regarding the horror video game movie adaptation and latest news revealed that studio has confirmed it. Moreover, in light of this success for the author, he released a novel wherein storyline focuses 10 years after the events of the game.

After the success of 2014's hit point-and-click survival video game, Five Nights at Freddy's, the franchise is now moving forward as they have their first film adaptation. According to Design & Trend, Warner Bros. Picture has already confirmed the adaptation for Five Nights at Freddy's but still, details regarding the film remain vague. However, never lose hope since director Gil Kenan has been consistently significant information regarding the progress of the film. Kenan posted photos on Twitter wherein animatronic constructions are shown with details such as large snout and sharp teeth which is the video game's antagonist.

Moreover, rumours regarding the treatment that the director will provide for the movie surfaced online. In the reports of Latin Post, the director shared that fans should not worry about the film as the production team is engage to be loyal on the Five Nights at Freddy's games. In addition, Scott Cawthon, the genius behind the video game, will be collaborating with film's production. Also, Kenan stated that he'll refrain from using too much CGI in the film as it would deliver a better performance and scarier effect to the live action film.

Lastly, having the movie in full swing, Scott Cawthon just released a tie-in novel to the video game franchise. As claimed by Korea Portal, the author made the 464-page novel available last December and it was titled 'Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes.' The novel would be set one decade after the murders of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and Charlotte's years of trying to forget it. Regarding the criticisms about the novel, the author just said "The book is not intended to solve anything."

Five Nights at Freddy's is an upcoming film adaptation for the successful video game franchise started in 2014. The film is now ready for production after the director himself posted pictures on his Twitter account detailing the progress of the film. Moreover, a tie-in novel was just released last month that would focus on the events after the game. Despite these report, the studio hasn't release any details about anticipated movie and these are yet to be announced.
