‘Creed 2’ Update: Sport drama’s sequel certainly happening; Apollo Creed to be back in the storyline?

After the overwhelming success of 2015's sport drama film, Creed, it is not a surprise to many knowing that key figures of the franchise will make the sequel possible. Moreover, franchise star Sylvester Stallone shares stunning ideas about the sequel that would include the beloved side character from Rocky films.

Since the film starring Michael B. Jordan, playing Adonis Creed, has become a block buster film after racking up more than a $100 million dollars, it is surely be back for another round of thrill. According to Coming Soon, the bonafide hit film, Creed, will return for another boxing as confirmed by MGM CEO Gary Barber stating that "there's no doubt that we're making a Creed 2." Moreover, the lead actor, Michael B. Jordan, has verified his willingness to the project. Since franchise key individual, Sylvester Stallone, who might just get a Oscar nomination for his role, and young director, Ryan Coogler, are being questioned on what they might bring in the table for the sequel.

With this in mind, the Rocky Balboa actor stated that they're planning in reuniting the 'Italian Stallion' with 'The Master of Disaster', Apollo Creed. According to Cinema Blend, Stallone hinted that Carl Weather's Apollo Creed might see some action after his statement in which Coogler got some idea on seeing Apollo and Balboa together citing Coppola's The Godfather 2. It should be noted that the father Creed character died in 1985 film of Rocky IV. Also, Stallone met up with 67-year old, Carl Weathers, and complementing the latter's body frame and physique.

Since the sequel is happening and plot rumours have circled where the father Creed will be back, news also circled to the young Creed's future battles. In reports of Collider, Stallone also teased the fans that Adonis might definitely have the same opponents with Rocky. In the interview, he said that there might be coming different opponent which is bigger, ferocious and is a Russian breed. Moreover, love interest of Adonis, Bianca, will intensify the complication in Creed's story due to her ambitions. Unlike Rocky's Adrian, Biana has things to go and see while her hearing's clock is running out.

Creed 2 would be the anticipated sequel to the successful boxing drama film of 2015 starring Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson. Reports said that Creed 2 is now in talks with certain plots involve a reunion between two characters from the Rocky franchise. Moreover, Adonis Creed might be facing another big Russian guy in the sequel. In light of these news, the sequel's cast, production crew and release dates are still undisclosed.
