An interview with Atlus CEO Naoto Hiraoka reveals that aside from Persona 5, the company is planning on releasing other unannounced games this year. This is after a previous interview with ATLUS Director Katsura Hashino that the production of Persona 5 is almost at the point of completion.
Last week, issue #1414 of Weekly Famitsu released a collection of short interviews with 110 game developers about their aspirations for 2016. The segment featuring Katsura Hashino, as provided by Persona Central, reveals that Kashino's "keyword" for the year is "to create an experience that will become etched within your hearts." and that he feels like they are nearing the end of the production of the game.
And this week, on January 12, a snippet of an interview with Naoto Hiraoka reveals that ATLUS has been busy not only with Persona 5, but with multiple other games, some of which were not announced earlier on. As reported by Siliconera, Hiraoka mentions that ATLUS was able to develop multiple games at the side on 2014, and that "(...) we'll start out with Odin Sphere, then plan to release numerous titles." He ends with a teasing statement 2016 will be a gathering of the company's popular series. He also expressed support for VanillaWare's upcoming game, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
Persona Central notes that Hiraoka previously teased back in 2014 that they have a game in production that was slated for a 2017 release, and at TGS 2015 he also teased that there would be an anouncement in the future, possibly refering to the Shin Megami Tensei IV Final release. A full interview will be released on January 14 on the Playstation Blog, hopefully detailing more about ATLUS' plans for the year.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Final is slated for a February 10, 2016 release in Japan for the 3DS. Persona 5 is slated for a Summer 2016 release in Japan for the PS4 and PS3. Etrian Odyssey V has not been given a release date or platform.
