Resident Evil director Paul W.S Anderson is almost done filming Resident Evil: Final Chapter. Fans all over the globe thought that the franchise was over when it released Resident Evil: Extinction, but now the sixth installment was confirmed by Sony Pictures.

Milla Jovovich is attached to return to her role as Alice, along with actor Shaw Roberts. It was also reported that Resident Evil: Afterlife actress, Ali Larter will also reprise her role as Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Final Chapter. Ecumenical News reported that the filming only needs a little work on editing.

Milla Jovovich, who plays the lead role, was asked by a fan in Twitter. 'What would make Resident Evil: Final Chapter special? The famous actress answered, "It's much more gritty and raw than the last one. The action is in your face and very realistic. No slow motion." The actress also added that Alice has really come into her own in this movie and that fans will see sides of her that they've never seen in other films. Moreover, the Resident Evil also expressed her sadness about the zombie movie franchise nearing its end.

If fans can remember, the end part of Resident Evil: Retribution had put everything to a wrap. Everyone thought it was over for the franchise, however, Milla Jovovich and her husband Director Paul W.S Anderson have still something on their sleeves and wanted to create one final chapter. According to reports and the title itself, Resident Evil: Final Chapter suggests that this is going to be the ultimate last chapter for Resident Evil.

Cinema Blend expressed their frustration if the couple would be pushing for a seventh installment. The website released a statement saying, "The Final Chapter would make fans feel that the franchise will be pushing its luck far too long."

While Milla Jovovich might end her role in Resident Evil, rumors have circulated that she will appear in George R.R Martin's new film project. Reports says that it is an adaptation of one of Martin's short stories. Resident Evil: Final Chapter is set to hit the theaters in January 2017. Are you going to watch Resident Evil's Final Chapter?
