The HTC One M10 is expected to show up in the upcoming CES 2016 but recent information suggests its release to take place next month. Meanwhile, One M10 XL, an imagined variant of the upcoming handset from HTC, has surfaced online.
According to Bitbag, it is most probable that the Taiwanese mobile manufacturer will trail its last year's release of HTC One M9. The upcoming handset, One M10 will be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.
Pushing the HTC One M10 launch is due to the claims that the current HTC One M9 fell below the expectations of critics and buyers. Furthermore, there is very little enhancement in the device in comparison with HTC One M8. If speculations are proven to be correct, HTC One M10 will battle head to head with other much-awaited Android-based smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S7 and Sony Xperia Z6.
Additionally, at the HTC's annual general meeting, the company's CEO Cher Wang revealed that a hero device will be launched in October. This is in hopes of improving the company's smartphone segment. However, it is unknown whether this hero device is the HTC One M10.
Korea Portal cited some of the features that the HTC One M10 might sport. It is believed that HTC will arm its upcoming device with a slim curved bezels and a finger print sensor at the back. This device is also expected to have a Quad HD display and a Snapdragon 820 processor with a dedicated graphics card.
Most tech critics and smartphone enthusiasts expect it to have a 13 to 20-megapixel camera with certain additional features for imaging and photo-clicking.
The phone is expected to be engineered with a Qualcomm's 82X with 3.X GHz octa-core processor resulting in lightning fast processes and enhanced phone performance. All of these will be powered by a 3500 mAH battery that delivers a long battery life.
Meanwhile, Phones Review reported that designs of the speculated variant of One M10 have surfaced online. The HTC One M10 XL, is imagined as a variant of the HTC One M10 that comes with a stylus. The designer has given some possible specs for this handset, including a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440. It's also imagined to be armed with a 21-megapixel camera featuring depth capture, and of course BoomSound speakers.
At the bottom edge of the HTC One M10 XL is where the audio jack, microUSB port, and an incorporated stylus that looks rather flat and possibly awkward to hold are placed. One of the photos illustrates the Power button that now has a more textured grip.
As usual, the company remains mum about the HTC One M10 and M10 XL. Until HTC gives the official word, most of these specifications remain on the rumor mill.
