Huawei P9 with 6GB RAM tipped to launch at CES 2016

The upcoming Huawei P9 is tipped to launch during the Consumers Electronic Show 2016. The device is dubbed as a powerhouse Android smartphone that features a massive 6GB RAM. More interesting features are also expected from the phone.

According to Phones Review, many companies are holding pre-CES events ahead of the big show in Las Vegas that officially starts on Wednesday. One of these is Huawei which held an event last Tuesday January 5th.

While it was formerly perceived that the Huawei P9 would launch around March, reports out of China now states it will be officially announced at the CES event.

International Business Times stated on its article that the Huawei P9 will arrive in three variants. This will be the Huawei P9, P9 Max, and P9 Lite. The P9 Lite will feature a 5-inch screen size while the P9 with a a 5.2-inch display. The P9 Max on the other hand, will have a huge 6.8-inch display.

Furthermore, Tech2 cited some of the features that the Huawei P9 might sport. According to the site, it might be engineered with an all-new octa-core Kirin 950 chipset. This chipset was noted to have made its first appearance in the Huawei Mate 8 smartphone and now, the next likely candidate to sport it could be the Huawei P9. The Kirin 950 SoC made by Huawei's HiSilicon is indeed a distinctive one.

The Huawei P9 packs in eight cores in all with the usual 4 plus 4 set up. It has the 4 x Cortex A72 cores for heavy duties, while the lighter chores are handled by the lower-powered 4 x Cortex A52 cores.

The Huawei's HiSilicon team also accomplished to squeeze in an 'i5' co-processor which according to the Chinese tech company, is present to support speech recognition, low-power consumption MP3, and many more low-powered tasks.

The powerful smartphone is speculated to show up with an enhanced bionic parallel dual-lens camera that was first seen on the Huawei Honor 6 Plus. The smartphone's camera gathered some positive reviews so it will be great to see what the smartphone can do when coupled with one of the most powerful processors currently available.

The CES event will start on January 6 and will end on January 9 at Las Vegas. This occasion serves as the proving arena for innovators and pioneers in technology with revolutionary products.
